Abstract
ABSTRACT
Based on the 2020 Indonesian Health Profile, the number of cases in Indonesia is quite high, with 1,789,261 people experiencing or suffering from stroke. In Lampung Province, the prevalence of stroke based on health worker diagnosis is 7.7% (42,851 people) and based on diagnosis or symptoms is 12.3% (68,393 people), with the highest rate in Bandar Lampung City. Stroke occurs due to blockage or rupture of blood vessels in the brain, resulting in brain cell death. Family support is believed to play an important role in increasing patient compliance with mobilization. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and compliance with mobilization in stroke patients at Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo Regional Hospital, Bandar Lampung in 2025. The method used is an observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach, involving 20 stroke patients. Data were collected through questionnaires. The results showed that 13 respondents (65%) received good family support and 15 respondents (75%) were compliant with mobilization. Conversely, 7 respondents (35%) received insufficient family support and 5 respondents (25%) were less compliant with mobilization. The Chi-Square test yielded a p-value of 0.031, indicating a significant relationship between family support and mobilization compliance. The conclusion of this study is that family support plays an important role in improving mobilization compliance in stroke patients. Therefore, it is recommended that families understand the role of support provided to increase patient motivation and discipline in carrying out the mobilization required during the rehabilitation period.
