PENGARUH TINDAKAN AFIRMASI POSITIF TERHADAP PERSEPSI CITRA DIRI PASIEN POST OPERASI AMPUTASI DI RSUD AHMAD YANI METRO PROVINSI LAMPUNG TAHUN 2025

ABSTRAC

Amputation results in a person becoming permanently disabled thus bringing dramatic changes to all aspects of life that can degrade his physical and socio-economic condition as he has to adapt to the loss of parts that were previously functioning normally. So after the patient is amputated, it can cause a positive or negative body image, depending on the patient's acceptance (Rachmat, 2021). Affirmation is anything that is repeatedly said to oneself out loud or can be done in the mind. The mental images generated through affirmation therapy, recorded in the subconscious mind, can further alter behaviors, habits, actions, reactions in response to repeated words. The total percentage of amputee patients in Lampung is 1.1% and especially in Bandar Lampung for the amputation rate is 2.4%. The type of research used in this study is a type of quantitative research using the design pre-experiment method and this research, using one group pretest posttest. This design does not have a comparison group (Control), the number of samples is 26, this researcher was carried out on May 10, 2025-May 30, 2025 The results of the bivariate analysis of research that have been carried out using the paired sample test obtained the mean pretest-postest of the Grief behavior which is 12.57 and the mean pretest-postest of the self-image perception behavior which is 51.42 with 95% for the average value of grieving trust below 13.12 and above 12.02 and the trust value of image perception Self below is 54.99 and above 47.85 and a Signifine Two Tailed value with a value of p=0.001 P value of 0.001 (P <0.05), then it can be concluded that there is an effect of differences before and after being given Positive affirmation on grieving behavior and self-image perception behavior in post-amputee patients at Ahmad Yani Metro Hospital, Lampung Province in 2025
