PENERAPAN PIJAT OKETANI UNTUK MEMPERLANCARPENGELUARAN ASI PADA NY.N DI PMB SRI WINDARTI KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN

ABSTRAK

Breast swelling is one of the problems that mothers often experience after giving birth. Breast engorgement can cause pain which has an impact on the breastfeeding process and milk production. Oketani massage is a non-pharmacological way to treat breast swelling, one of which is Mrs. N with the problem of breast swelling PMB Sri Windarti, S.Tr., Keb.
The general aim of this case study is to find out whether the application of oketani massage can facilitate the release of breast milk in mothers with breast swelling problems in PMB Sri Windarti, S.Tr., Keb, South Lampung Regency.
The method used is a case study with 7 Varney steps, the subject of Mrs. N P1A0 with breast swelling problems. The object of care is the application of oketani massage for 6 days. Care is documented using SOAP.
The results of the application of oketani massage to Mrs. N, who experienced breast swelling, no longer experienced it on the sixth day and there was smooth milk production. So the author can conclude that oketani massage can help facilitate the release of breast milk in mothers who experience breast engorgement. The main suggestion is that midwives are expected to be able to educate clients/families to do oketani massage with the aim of facilitating the release of breast milk and allowing mothers to breastfeed their babies until the age of 2 years.
