Abstract
ABSTRACT
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria. The bacteria spread from TB sufferers through the air. Indonesia is the country with the second highest TB sufferers in the world after India with a proportion of new cases of 10% compared to all cases in the world. Based on data obtained by the Way Halim II Health Center, there were 59 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in 2024.
This study was conducted to determine the description of temperature, lighting, and humidity of the houses of Pulmonary Tuberculosis patients in the working area of the Way Halim II Health Center, Bandar Lampung City in 2025.
This study is descriptive, with a sample of 59 houses in the Way Halim II Health Center Working Area of Bandar Lampung City. Data collection using a checklist through measurements with thermohygrometer and lux meter measuring instruments. Then analyzed univariately and presented in the form of a frequency distribution table.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that from 59 houses of pulmonary tuberculosis sufferers, 15% of the family rooms do not meet the requirements in terms of temperature, 47% of the family rooms do not meet the requirements in terms of natural lighting, and 5% of the family rooms do not meet the requirements in terms of humidity. It is necessary to conduct counseling on healthy homes and PHBS periodically to avoid pulmonary tuberculosis, it is recommended that health center personnel always routinely measure the physical environment of the house, especially measuring temperature, lighting, and humidity, and people who have houses with inappropriate temperatures, humidity, lighting, then it is better to make natural lighting.
