GAMBARAN MINAT BERWIRAUSAHA MAHASISWA TEKNIK GIGI POLITEKNIK KESEHATAN TANJUNGKARANG TAHUN AKADEMIK 2022/2023

Abstract
One of the efforts to overcome the large unemployment rate is by entrepreneurship. Alumni of the Dental Technician diploma have a great opportunity to become entrepreneurs with job opportunities that are still very broad, the number of vacancies or job prospects in the field of Dental Technician has not been matched by specialization. The purpose of this study is to describe the interest in entrepreneurship for Dental Technician students at the Tanjungkarang Health Polytechnic for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The population and sample for this study were 92 students majoring in Dental Technician at the Tanjungkarang Health Polytechnic. This research is a population research. This type of research is quantitative descriptive survey method, and the instrument used is a questionnaire with a total of 16 statements using an ordinal scale, and this study uses univariate data analysis. The univariate analysis aims to explain or describe the characteristics of each research variable presented in a descriptive form.
The results obtained from the overall percentage of interest in entrepreneurship in opening an independent laboratory for dental Technician students for the 2022/2023 academic year is 95.81% and the percentage of no interest obtained is 4.19%. For this reason, the authors suggest that the Department of Dental Technician organize activities that can maintain and increase students' interest in entrepreneurship to open independent laboratories in the future.
