finalAssigmnet, June 2023
A hospital is a place for health services that is operated and maintained with great
attention to aspects of the cleanliness of the building and the environment, both
physically, garbage, liquid waste, clean water and insects/pests. The establishment of
the hospital has a separate impact on the environment, namely improving the quality
of hospital waste effluent, where many management systems do not meet the
requirements. The reason is because hospital waste contains various microorganisms
that cause disease in the surrounding community. It requires strong concentration from
the government to addressing the increasing number of Hazardous and Toxic Materials
(B3) Waste from Hospitals.
-To find out the description of Hazardous and Toxic Waste Management (B3).
-This research is a descriptive study that was carried out from March to May 2023 at
the Abdoel Moeloek Regional General Hospital, Bandar Lampung City, the objects in
this study were medical solid waste management officers, facilities and infrastructure
in hospital waste management.
-The waste generated from the Abdul Moeloek Regional General Hospital, Bandar
Lampung City, has a separation between medical and non-medical waste, both in the
collection, collection, transportation, storage, and destruction of medical waste
