GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP MASYARAKAT DESA KOTAGAJAH KECAMATAN KOTA GAJAH TERHADAP ALUR PEMBUATAN GIGI TIRUAN TAHUN 2023

Dentures are tools that can replace the chewing surface and the accompanying structures. Knowledge about dentures that meet health requirements and the correct manufacturing process is not fully understood by the public. Based on the results of a preliminary survey in Kota Gajah village, 23% of respondents stated that the procedure for making dentures was to the dentist and 77% to the dentist.
The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes of the people of Kota Gajah village towards the process of making dentures.
The research design uses a survey method with a questionnaire as an instrument. The research sample was 83 families aged 36-45 years. The results of the study, the average level of public knowledge is good 22%, enough 29%, less 49%. For the attitude of agreeing at 89.27% and 10.73% disagree. In conclusion, the average level of public knowledge is still lacking and the average attitude is accepting of the correct denture manufacturing process. Suggestions, provide counseling about the process of making dentures by dentists/dental technicians, educate using posters/leaflets and community leaders as examples for the use of dentures.
