GAMBARAN KASUS PENYAKIT KUSTA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TRIMULYO KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TIMUR TAHUN 2020

Leprosy is an infectious disease and is chronic. This disease is caused by Mycobacterium leprae which is obligate intracellular and occurs in the skin and peripheral nerves. Mycobacterium leprae first attacks the peripheral nerves, which then affects the skin and oral mucosa, upper respiratory tract, patient's endothelial reticulo system, eyes, muscles, bones and testes.

The purpose of this research is to find out the Overview of Leprosy Cases in Trimulyo Public Health Center in East Lampung Regency in 2020.
The study was conducted with a descriptive qualitative research method that is research with the method or case study approach (Case Study) is a study conducted focused on a particular case to be observed and analyzed thoroughly thoroughly about the Overview of Leprosy Cases in the Work Area of Trimulyo Health Center, East Lampung Regency 2020. Data collection using the interview method conducted is in-depth interviews (in-depth interviews) or commonly referred to as intensive interviews, qualitative interviews, or unstructured interviews. In-depth interviews are similar to informal conversations and observable data can be in the form of an attitude, behavior, action, overall interaction between people.

The results of this study were obtained information about the Overview of Leprosy Cases in the Trimulyo Health Center in East Lampung Regency in 2020 which included a description of Personal Hygine, Genetic, Contact History, Contact Duration, BCG Immunization Status, Room Temperature, Humidity, and Vector conditions.
