Based on the initial observations made by the authors in the Dental Engineering Laboratory of the Tanjungkarang Health Polytechnic, the results obtained for the type, shape, area of the laboratory room, storage room for tools and materials, management room, preparation room are not in accordance with the D III Dental Engineering standard laboratory. The purpose of writing this final report is to find out the spatial layout of the Dental Engineering Laboratory of the Tanjungkarang Health Polytechnic. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with an instrument using an observation sheet in the form of a checklist. This assessment uses the Guttman scale, which is stated 'yes' if it meets the standard and 'no' if it does not meet the standard. As a result, the rooms of the four Dental Engineering laboratories are rectangular in shape with different areas. The distance between students during practicum ± 1 m2 . There is a storage room for tools and materials, a management room and a preparation room. In conclusion, the layout of the laboratory in the dental engineering department does not meet the standards because the area of the room per student is only 1 m2. For storage space for tools and materials there is still not available. The management room and preparation room are not available separately. Suggestion, make a division of practicum schedules so that the distance between students is according to the standard. Each laboratory provides a management room and completes the storage of tools and materials in accordance with DIII Dental Engineering laboratory standards.
