abstract: Pre-marital IEC in catin is an important thing that must be given as an effort to improve catin knowledge including about preparation before marriage. We hope that with the insights and knowledge gained, catin can foster a healthy and safe married life, with the aim that readers can get an overview of the knowledge of the groom and bride-to-be and before presenting communication, information and education (KIE), as well as to find out the effectiveness of giving from presenting the IEC. The method used is a literature review where the data is obtained from an electronic database, namely Google Scholer, between 2018-2022. 68 articles selected 3 articles that fit the purpose of this study . The results obtained from a review of articles on readiness to face the first pregnancy came from the preparations made by the bride and groom before and became pregnant, information and education communication (IEC) regarding reproductive health and preparation for the first time is very effective and very much needed by the prospective bride and groom to have good readiness. during the first pregnancy, during the first pregnancy many women are not ready to face pregnancy because they do not have good knowledge and previous experience, it is certain to the local KUA to make reproductive health materials a mandatory material that must be submitted to prospective brides and can revitalize Cooperation with related parties for health education material
