This study aims to determine the effect of aeration and types of aquatic plants T. latifolia and E. hyemale on the reduction of hospital wastewater parameters Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Ammonia, and Total Suspended Solid (TSS) using the CWs method. This study used a quasi-experimental design, namely the provision of aeration and without aeration combined with CWs and aquatic plants T. latifolia and E. hyemale to treat hospital wastewater parameters (BOD, COD, Ammonia, and TSS) to compare with specified quality standards. The treatment in this study was the provision of aeration in the wetland tub planted with T. latifolia and E. hyemale. This study found the highest removal percentage for all parameters in WCs with E. hyemale without aeration, namely BOD = 72.58%, COD = 82%, TSS 78.77% and ammonia 75.31%. While the lowest removal was in CWs with T. latifolia with aeration, namely BOD = 38.81%, COD = 55.14%, TSS = 42.36% and ammonia 36.38%. The most significant decrease in levels was in the COD parameter. This research is not perfect, so it needs to be continued by adding retention time variations and the number of plants.
