Tuberculosis bacteria were first discovered by Robert Koch in 1882. These types of germs are Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium africanum and Mycobacterium bovis. Basil tuberculosis belongs to the genus Mycobacterium, a member of the family and belongs to the order Actinomycetales. Mycobacterium tuberculosis causes a number of severe diseases in humans and is also the most common cause of infection. In the work area of the Sukabumi puskesmas, pulmonary TB is estimated in 2020 in the first quarter of 37 people. This type of research is descriptive to get a picture of the condition of the home in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in the work area of Sukabumi Public Health Center in 2020. The source of transmission is positive smear pulmonary TB sufferers. When coughing or sneezing, the patient spreads germs into the air in the form of droplets (sputum sparks). Droplets containing germs can survive in air at room temperature for several hours. People can become infected if the droplet is inhaled into the respiratory tract, the pulmonary TB germs can spread from the lungs to other parts of the body, through the circulatory system, lymphatic system, airway, or direct spread to other body parts. Prevention efforts by Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse chemotherapy (DOTS) is a strategy for the elimination of pulmonary tuberculosis programs recommended by WHO since 1995. The DOTS strategy consists of 5 components, namely: (Political commitment of decision makers, including funding support, diagnosis of tuberculosis by sputum examination by 1995. microscopically, short-term treatment with Anti Tuberculosis Medicines (OAT) with direct supervision by the Drug Swallowing Supervisor (PMO), Short-term supply of OAT continuity with guaranteed quality, recording and reporting by default to facilitate monitoring and evaluation of TB control programs.
