abstract: Emesis gravidarum is nausea and vomiting that occurs 5-12 weeks in the first trimester. Mild nausea and vomiting during pregnancy usually do not have any impact on the mother or fetus. However, if you do not have nausea and vomiting continuously, then pregnant women are at risk of experiencing dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and decreased urination. One of the treatments to reduce nausea and vomiting is to consume Ambon bananas. The purpose of providing this care is to reduce nausea and vomiting in pregnant women.
The method used in this case study data collection is the 7-step varney and documented in SOAP form for Mrs. A aged 27 years G1P0A0 9 weeks pregnant who experienced emesis gravidarum and consumed Ambon banana starting on August 5 – August 11, 2022 for 7 weeks. day.
The results of the care given to Mrs. A in reducing emesis gravidarum for 7 days, namely before the nausea and vomiting intervention 5 times then after giving Ambon bananas, the mother's nausea and vomiting decreased to 3 times. It can be concluded that Ambon banana is effective in reducing nausea and vomiting in pregnant women. Suggestions that can be given to patients are by consuming Ambon bananas can be used to reduce the intensity of nausea and vomiting.
