Consumption of foods that high in calories and high in fat can cause negative health effects, such as obesity and high blood cholesterol levels. This study is an analytic study with cross sectional approach, to identify the correlation between energy intake, polyunsaturated fatty acids, cholesterol and BMI in outpatients with coronary heart desease in RSUD Dr. Hi. Abdul Moeloek, Lampung province.Variables examined included energy intake, polyunsaturated fatty acids, cholesterol, BMI and blood cholesterol levels in outpatients with coronary heart disease who were in a Poly Heart RSUD Dr. Hi. Abdul Moeloek, Lampung Province. The sample of this study 46 patients with accidental sampling technique.Based on statistical test showed that the distribution of the age is of 55-64 years old at most (37%), male sex (54.3%), civil servants (47.8%), the most latest education is an undergraduate (60.9%), energy intake is less well respondents (93.5%), intake of polyunsaturated fatty acids is less well (82.6%), unfavorable cholesterol intake (73.9%), most of respondent is not obese (87%), and having normal total blood cholesterol levels by 58.7%.From the bivariate results showed no significant correlation between cholesterol intake and blood cholesterol levels (p value = 0.035) and no significant relationship between energy intake, polyunsaturated fatty acids, and BMI with high blood cholesterol levels.
