Abstract

Waterisanaturalresourcethatcanfulfillthelivesofmany people,soit needstobeprotectedinordertocontinuetoprovidebenefitsforhumanlife and otherlivingthings.InIndonesia,mostofthepopulationusesgroundwaterwith thecleanwaterfacilitiesused,namely dug wells.Inorderforthewaterquality to befulfilledproperly,itisnecessary tomonitorandpay attentiontotheconditions ofthewaterfacilities.Tosupportthis,dug wellsmustmeetconstructionand locationrequirements. Giventheimportance ofcleanwater for humanneeds,the quality ofthewatermustmeetthephysical,chemicalandbacteriological requirementsaccording tothestandardofcleanwaterquality.MinisterofHealth RegulationNo.32of2017concerningenvironmentalhealthquality standardsand waterhealth requirements.
Thisstudy aimstodeterminetheconditionsofdug wellconstructionin Bumidaya,whichisdescriptive innature,whichdescribesthe conditionsof dug wellconstruction inBumidayaVillage, Palas District, SouthLampungRegencyin
2021.Basedonthe resultsofthestudy,theresultsshowthatthefloor ofthewell thatmeetstherequirementsis54.5%., Thelipsofthewellsthat meetthe requirementsare36.4%,thewallsofthewellsthatmeettherequirementsare
21.6%,theSPAL thatmeetstherequirementsis40.9%,thedistancefromthe pollutant sources(TPS, Septictank, Cage,and PAL) that meetthe requirements requirements as much as4.5%.
Basedontheresultsthathave beenobtained,theauthorsconcludethatout of88familiesthathavedug wellsinBumidaya, there are73familieswhosewells donotmeettherequirementswitha percentageof 83%and15 familieswhose wells havemet the requirements with apercentageof 17%.
